I just received my Winter 2022 FabFitFun box and cannot wait to dive into all the goodies that are in it. Since being gifted the FabFitFun annual subscription last Christmas, I’ve been reviewing my seasonal boxes as I receive them (read about spring, summer, and fall boxes). I’m so excited to be doing my first look FabFitFun box review- Winter2022 edition.

I’ve had other subscription boxes in the past, like IPSY, Glossy, and Loose Button – so I have some experience with subscription boxes. I’m also partial to the Rachel Zoe Box of Style, which has been rebranded as Curateur. No matter which subscription box you get, the best part is discovering new products, and receiving random presents. The downside of any subscription box is that I would often receive products that I would never use, or choose for myself. This could be because they didn’t meet my skin/hair needs, didn’t benefit me, were not my colour, or I was allergic to them. Luckily, I always have someone to pass them along to, so no product ever goes to waste. The difference with the FabFitFun subscription box is that the products are better curated to your likes and needs. It is like a friend who knows you, has picked the perfect products for you to try.

I’m so excited to be writing this FabFitFun box review of the goodies I received in the Winter 2022 box. I haven’t had a chance to try them all yet (as I just received them after all ) but, at first glance, I’m quite happy with this box. As the contents address my skincare needs and know what kinds of products I enjoy. Overall, I’m super pumped to try them all. If past performance is any indication, I’m pretty sure you’ll see a few of them in future posts like my monthly current favourites list, or on a gift guide.

Ok – let’s jump into my FabFitFun box review.

First thoughts..the packaging….

The boxes are one of the aspects of the FabFitFun box that I love the most. As soon as you see it, you know what it is- there is no bland cardboard here. The boxes are always brightly decorated with fun seasonal patterns. Let me tell you that the winter box is no exception. Bright teals and blues depict a winter scene outside an apartment building, with vignettes of life inside the apartment windows. It is both beautiful and eye-catching and gives you cozy winter vibes.

These boxes are too beautiful to throw in the recycle, and I usually keep them for storage, as they are sturdy and well-designed.

The box is full of goodies, so let’s dive in.

Christophe Robin Cleansing Purifying Scrub with Sea Salt: This is an “exfoliating shampoo formulated to detoxify and soothe sensitive or oily scalps.” I’m excited to try this as I have fine hair that gets weighed down with oil or heavy products. Using this once a week, as it is recommended, I think will help keep my hair from being limp, greasy and weighed down.

Vike Makeup Melt: I love makeup remover. I’m a huge fan of micellar water and Tata Harper Nourishing Oil Cleanser because of how well they remove makeup as part of my nighttime routine. The Makeup Melt sounds like a product I will soon be obsessed with. To use it you “spray directly onto dry skin. For eye makeup removal: apply to closed eyes. Use dry hands in circular motions. Rinse with water.” This eliminates scrubbing with a makeup wipe, which they claim can cause fine lines over time. If this is good for my sensitive skin, and actually breaks down my makeup- it will surely be on a future favourite things list.

Perricone MD cold plasma plus+eye: I suffer from dark circles, and while I have my favourites for dealing with them I’m always open to something new. This product says that it will “promote the 5 most visible signs of awakened, youthful-looking eyes by targeting and improving the appearance of:
Dark Circles
Crow’s feet
Fine lines
Loss of firmness”
While I don’t have any visible fine lines, I’m all for preventative treatments. However, dark circles and puffiness are the enemies I fight daily, and I can’t wait to try this product out.

Herbivore Aquarius Pore Purifying Clarity Cream: Pores, especially on my nose, are one of my skincare concerns. No matter how well I take care of my skin, nothing seems to truly make a difference and I do admit I enjoy the occasional Biore pore strip (it was one of my favourite things – February 2021 edition). This product apparently “uses the power of blue tansy oil, and white willow bark to decongest pores while hydrating the skin.” I’m up for trying anything that will help my pores.

Karuna® Tone and Drench Sheet Mask 4 Pack: Who doesn’t love a face mask? It is an easy way to practice self-care, and get a little “me time” as it benefits your skin. This package has two different masks, the “Tone Mask contains Black Hoof Mushroom, filled with antioxidants that give your skin exactly what it needs. The Drench Mask contains Prickly Pear Extract for ultimate hydration.” Toning and hydration- sign me up!

Makeup Swabs – Reusable: I’m game to try these. They look like traditional cotton swabs, but they are silicone so they are an eco-friendly option-click here for more ways to green your beauty routine.

SOCIAL STUDIES Set of 3 Nesting Bowls- Emerald Green: These bowls remind me of Tiffany blue, which is one of my favourite colours. These little glass nesting bowls will be perfect for serving onion dip, prepping cooking, or even serving my homemade gluten-free candied nuts. One can never have enough little bowls, and if they are cute enough to use for entertaining, then that is an added bonus.

FabFitFun Box Review Final Thoughts

Overall, I’m super excited to try the products I’ve covered in this FabFitFun box review – the Winter 2022 edition and cannot wait to start using them. If this box lives up to the quality of the previous boxes, I’m sure many of these products will become a part of my daily beauty and hygiene routines.

Let’s not forget about household items, as they are both stylish and useful.

I think that having a FabFitFun box is a great way to be able to try a host of different products, without having to spend the retail value on them. Not to mention it is also an awesome gift, as the recipient get presents four times a year. Just imagine that a random beautiful box full of amazing products arrives at your door. It is a pick-me-up anyone would enjoy. This is a gift that lasts long beyond a holiday or birthday.

Gifting someone special with a unique subscription box, tailored to their interests, makes them feel special and thought of, throughout the year.
