Timely nuggets of information and ideas we want to share with you.

The crumbl cookies company was founded by a pair of cousins at Utah State University with an obsession with cookies.  In 2017 they opened their first store in Utah, and now they have over 600 bakeries in 47 states.  They also have over 7 million followers on TikTok, Facebook and Instagram.  Two weeks ago New York City got its first crumbl cookies at 1195 Third Avenue at 70th St. on the Upper East Side.  The line waiting for it to open on November 8 went around the block.  I’m sure a job requirement for writing these articles is to do taste tests for anything with ‘cookie’ in its title so when I found a store I stopped in and bought a selection of flavors.  They are served warm, and inside the bakery customers can view the cookie baking process.  There is nothing better than a warm cookie and crumbl cookies live up to expectations.  The chocolate chip was delicious and so were Cookie Butter White Chip, and the Classic Pink Sugar.  I can’t wait to go back!

A Google Search tip – To help us find exactly what we are looking for, Google allows us to specify the time frame we want the search to be in.  To the right and below the search bar you will see the word ‘tools’.  Click on that and then on the ‘Any time’ drop down to specify a date range.

It is thought that the scent of Rosemary may assist with memory by increasing a neurotransmitter called acetylcholine.  Spider plants can help to remove formaldehyde from the air in your home.

Have you ever spent more time than you had available trying to decipher a strange charge on your credit card?  I give it the old college try before I call the fraud department because if it turns out to be the dog food supplier for Rover, I’ll be really embarrassed. This website will try to help crack the code of unfamiliar charges. All they want to see is the charge name, not the amount, date, or anything else. You paste it in and click “Check Charges” and they run it through their database. https://www.whatsthatcharge.com/ .
